| Our dream was to create a business
that would embody the authentic spirit of India insomuch as we are
able: colorful, diverse, artistic, mystical and quirky too –
the peace of an ashram and the riotous color and wonder of a Delhi
bazaar. We maintain a close connection to the products we offer and
to the people who make them in an effort to present quality objects
from artisans who take pride in skills that have been passed along
from one generation to the next. We believe that you will find us
a serene and delightful alternative to the big box/mall stores.
A percentage of our proceeds supports Tibetan
artisans and refugees in Dharamshala, India where the Dalai Lama
and the Tibetan Government in Exile struggles to maintain cultural
identity. We visit every year and can tell you that every contribution
is appreciated and put to good use. As business grows, we intend
to expand our giving. |
